The Bay Area Collective Keeping Privatizers Away from Community Schools, BACKPACS, is an organization dedicated to strengthening and protecting public education. We believe students are best served in publicly funded schools that are overseen by elected members of a school board. We want ALL students to receive an excellent and equitable education. We shall defend these values from the attacks of the school privatization industry.
